Revive Your Smile with our Exceptional Same-day Dental Bridges
Dental bridges in Chicago, Illinois, are excellent restorations to replace missing teeth. Getting a traditional bridge can be lengthy, but A Brush Above Family Dentistry has invested in CEREC technology to allow Drs. Marcella Guzman, Phillip Fidel, and Rosa Sinno to place dental bridges in a single appointment. There’s no need for multiple appointments or temporary restorations!
How does a dental bridge replace missing teeth?
Replacing one or more missing teeth is easy with a dental bridge made right here in our office. A dental bridge comprises prosthetic teeth (called pontic) that are custom-fitted to slot seamlessly in the edentulous space. Traditional bridges are secured to the natural teeth on either side of the gap (abutments). These teeth are crowned to ensure they offer a sturdy foundation for your fixed bridge.
Sometimes, the bridge can be secured by a dental implant anchored in the jawbone. Implant-supported bridges are more secure and ensure your otherwise healthy teeth aren’t altered to place a crown. Better yet, implants stimulate the jawbone to prevent degradation.
How do CEREC same-day dental bridges work?
Traditional bridges need 2-3 dental appointments spanning several weeks. CEREC dental crowns are placed in a single appointment, which saves time and provides immediate function. The procedure starts with a consultation to determine whether a bridge is suitable for restoring your smile. If so, we’ll reshape the support teeth to accommodate your dental crowns. For implant bridges, this is not necessary.
After tooth preparation, we’ll capture digital scans of your teeth and use our computer-assisted design (CAD) unit to design your bridgework to the exact specifications of your teeth. Once approved, the designs are sent to the in-house milling machine that fabricates your bridge and crowns in minutes.
Once the bridge is ready, its color and fit are matched to ensure proper alignment and aesthetics. Finally, we’ll bond the bridge permanently to your teeth with strong adhesives. Your unsightly gap will disappear, and you can eat and smile confidently.
A bridge is a non-surgical way to replace one or many teeth. A bridge uses the adjacent teeth as anchors to support the missing tooth or teeth. With today’s dental advancements, a bridge can be fabricated in a fairly short period of time, using a metal or nonmetal foundation. Don’t let that missing tooth affect the way you speak, eat, and smile. Bridges yield immediate results that last a lifetime. Ask your dentist what type of bridge may be right for you.
What are the benefits of same-day bridges?
CEREC dental bridges are an excellent solution for replacing teeth without the traditional wait. With on-site capabilities to prep, design, fabricate, and place bridges and crowns, we can restore your smile in a single appointment with minimal chair time. This quick turnaround means a busy executive or a new mum with little time to herself can restore their smile with minimal interruptions to their everyday life.
The other benefits of same-day dental bridges include.
- Comfort: The dental impressions eliminate the need for messy, goop-based impressions. CEREC technology uses a comfortable, wand-like device to capture your teeth dimensions.
- Precision: Advanced scans and design allow for superior fabrication of restorations that offer a snug fit.
- No temporaries: Since traditional crowns require several days to create, patients must wear temporary restorations after tooth preparation. These temporaries rarely fit well, and they look unnatural. Skip the hassle of temporaries with CEREC same-day bridges. Patients leave our office with permanent restorations.
- Aesthetics: CEREC restorations are created from high-quality ceramics that perfectly match your natural dentition. Your realistic-looking bridge and crowns will look like an extension of your natural teeth.
