- Dental implant: Whether you have lost one or multiple teeth, our dentist will recommend dental implants because of their durability, stability, and comfort. A dental implant is an artificial tooth root surgically placed in the jawbone to support replacement teeth. To place an implant, the dentist numbs your mouth with local anesthetics to ensure a painless dental experience. Then, the oral surgeon makes a small hole at a precise location in the jawbone, where the biocompatible titanium post goes. Our dentist uses state-of-the-art dental imaging, including 3D scanning, to achieve superior dental implant outcomes.
- Surgical extractions: If your tooth is accessible in the mouth, the dentist pulls it out with a simple extraction. The doctor loosens the tooth and lifts it out in one piece from its socket for this procedure. Surgical extractions are necessary when your tooth is partially or wholly impacted or broken at the gum line level. The dentist incises the gums for surgical extraction, which may sometimes involve removing the underlying bone. Then, we section the tooth to ensure minimal trauma during removal. Once the tooth is removed, the dentist will suture the gums to promote healing and protect the area.

What should I expect after surgery?
After your treatment, our team will give you post-op instructions to ensure a painless recovery. We’ll walk you through nutrition guidelines, including foods that are gentle on healing tissues, and advise on maintaining oral hygiene to prevent infection without irritating sensitive areas. Additionally, we’ll offer pain management techniques, such as pain medications and ice pack application, to minimize discomfort. Our comprehensive post-op instructions ensure you have the information you need for an event-free recovery.

Dr. Phillip Fidel
Philip Fidel, DDS, graduated from the University of California Davis in 1981 and attended Northwestern Dental School in Chicago. He has been providing exceptional dental care via private practice in Chicago ever since. Dr. Fidel believes learning is a never-ending process and has completed advanced training in CEREC 3-D technology, laser, and implant dentistry.
Dr. Rosa Sinno
Rosa Sinno, DDS, graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and received her dental degree from the University of Illinois Dental School in 2006. After five years of practicing in Chicago, she moved to New York City, where she continued to treat patients and ran a successful office in Midtown Manhattan. She also followed a year-long intensive training program at the renowned Rosenthal Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry at NYU College of Dentistry. She has also completed training in Invisalign, CEREC 3-D technology, and laser dentistry. In 2017, Dr. Sinno moved back to her hometown of Chicago.
Dr. Irbad Chowdhury
Irbad Chowdhury, DMD, DABOI, AFAAID, FAGD, FICD, FICOI, received his dental degree and completed his residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry and Implant Fellowship at the Southern Illinois University (SIU) School of Dental Medicine. ​​He is board-certified in dental implants and is also an advanced dentistry expert. After completing his residency and private practice in Saint Louis, MO, Dr. Chowdhury moved to Chicago.
A former faculty and clinical professor at SIU School of Dental Medicine, he now serves as a clinical instructor/professor at Midwestern University Dental School.
Dr. Shoshana Center
