We perform dental surgical extraction after administering local (sometimes general) anesthesia to reduce discomfort during treatment. Then, your dentist incises your gums to access the tooth. If your tooth is embedded in the jawbone, we’ll remove some bone and break the tooth into pieces for easier removal. After removing all the fragments, we clean and suture the wound to begin the healing process.
This surgery doesn’t require an overnight stay. You’ll recover at home, but we’ll give post-operative care and medication to manage pain, swelling, and other discomfort.
